Terms of Service

Last updated: August 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Little Dove Dev LLC ("we", "us") governing your use of the Outing Caddie apps and the outingcaddie.app website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Outings, organizers, and administrators

Outing Caddie is multi-tenant: anyone can create an outing and invite others with a join code.

  • Organizers and administrators control their outing. They can set formats and handicaps, edit rosters, assign groups and scorekeepers, enter and reset scores, close and reopen an outing, and remove content. We do not arbitrate disputes within an outing — including disputes about scores, standings, handicaps, eligibility, or who won.
  • When you join an outing, its organizers and members can see your information as described in the Privacy Policy, including your name, handicap, scores, and chat posts. Do not join an outing whose members you do not want seeing that.
  • If you organize an outing, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to add the people you add, and for telling them what you are doing with their information.

4. Scoring is a convenience, not an authority

The Service computes scores, net figures, handicap allocations, and standings from the data entered into it. We do not warrant that any score, handicap calculation, standing, or side-game result is correct, and the Service is not a substitute for the Rules of Golf, a handicap authority such as the USGA/WHS, or an official competition record. Do not rely on it to settle a wager or an official result.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit — chat messages, photos, stories, and scores. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including displaying it to other members of your outing and retaining it in that outing's archive. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies retained in archived outing records and backups.

You confirm you have the rights to what you submit, including any photo containing another person.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone's rights
  • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Join an outing you were not invited to, or share a join code to enable that
  • Attempt to access data belonging to another outing or user, probe or circumvent our security, or interfere with the Service's operation
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service
  • Use the Service to run unlawful gambling

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on this Service. By using Outing Caddie's chat you agree to that standard, set out in full in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. We provide these controls, and we use them:

  • Filtering. GIF search is restricted to the "G" content rating, and current app versions screen outgoing messages for objectionable language before they are posted.
  • Reporting. Touch and hold any message to report it. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. You can also report anything to support@outingcaddie.app.
  • Blocking. Touch and hold any message to block that player. Their messages disappear from your chat immediately. Blocks are reviewable and reversible under Profile → Blocked Players.
  • Removal. An administrator can delete any message from the chat feed, and we can remove content and terminate accounts ourselves.

The in-app reporting and blocking controls described above are currently available in the iOS app. Email to support@outingcaddie.app reaches us from any device and is always available.

Accounts that post objectionable content or abuse other players are ejected from the Service.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Firebase, Apple, Google, and a golf course data provider. Their terms govern their own services, and we are not responsible for them. Course and tee data comes from a third-party source and may be incomplete or wrong.

8. Paid features

Downloading the app, building draft outings, and joining an outing as a player are free. Launching an outing — making its join code live so players can join, score, and chat — requires payment by the organizer, through either:

  • an Organizer subscription — an auto-renewing annual subscription that includes a set number of event launches per subscription year, or
  • an Event Pass — a one-time purchase that funds a single event launch.

Prices, renewal terms, and what each purchase includes are shown in the app before you buy. Purchases are currently offered in the iOS app and made through Apple's App Store; they are processed, billed, and refunded under the store's terms, not ours — we do not process card payments directly. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store account settings; cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period. A launched event stays launched — cancelling a subscription or receiving a refund does not take an already-launched event away from its players mid-outing.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We try to give notice of significant changes but cannot promise the Service will be available without interruption, and we are not liable for outages. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably need to for legal or security reasons. Some data persists after deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100).

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms — including, if you organize an outing, claims by its participants relating to how you handled their information.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
